Terms of Service

Last updated: September 11, 2026

This document describes uTime's current policies, drafted to reflect the platform's functionality as of the date shown above. Before it is treated as definitive legal advice or a formal legal-compliance assessment, it should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the uTime platform by customers, businesses, and professionals. By using uTime, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use the platform.

1. About uTime

uTime is a digital platform that allows customers to discover beauty and wellness businesses and professionals, browse available services, view available appointment slots, and book appointments online.

uTime also allows businesses and professionals to manage their business, configure services, manage professionals and team members, manage business hours, manage appointments and the customer information relevant to them, and, optionally, integrate their schedule with Google Calendar.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

Businesses and professionals who create an account on uTime expressly accept these Terms at the time of registration. Customers who book an appointment through uTime, even without creating an account, also accept the Terms applicable to the use of the booking feature, to the extent relevant to that use.

3. Business and Professional Accounts

Businesses and professionals using uTime are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and truthful information
  • Keeping their account information up to date
  • Protecting their account credentials
  • Ensuring they hold the necessary rights over the information they enter into uTime
  • Using the platform lawfully
  • Providing accurate information about the services they offer and their availability

4. Customers

Customers can make appointments on uTime without creating an account. Customers are responsible for providing accurate information, namely their name, phone number, and email address, as this information is essential for the business or professional to provide the service and communicate about the appointment.

5. Appointments

An appointment represents a request to book a service with a business or professional. Availability shown through uTime depends on information configured by the business or professional itself (for example, business hours and staff availability).

The business or professional is responsible for actually providing the booked service. Cancellation and modification rules may be determined by the respective business or professional, and may vary between different businesses on the platform.

6. Relationship Between Customer and Business

uTime provides the technology and platform that connect customers and businesses/professionals, facilitating the booking of services. The service relationship is established primarily between the customer and the business or professional (“Customer ↔ Business/Professional”).

uTime is not the provider of the beauty, wellness, barbering, hairdressing, or other services advertised by businesses on the platform, and does not assume responsibility for the performance, quality, or outcome of those services, which rests solely with the respective business or professional.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that, under applicable Portuguese or European Union law, cannot validly be excluded or limited, including in cases of willful misconduct, gross negligence, or other situations where the law imposes mandatory liability.

7. Google Calendar

Google Calendar integration is optional. Each professional decides whether to connect their Google Calendar account to uTime. Connecting requires authorization granted through Google (Google OAuth).

Once authorization is granted, uTime may create, update, and delete events on the professional's Google Calendar corresponding to their appointments in uTime. uTime does not import or copy the professional's existing personal events already in their Google Calendar.

The professional may disconnect or revoke this authorization at any time, through the mechanisms available in uTime and/or directly through their Google account settings.

8. Transactional Communications

Customers may receive communications necessary to operate their appointment, including confirmations, reminders, changes, cancellations, and other operational information directly related to the appointment. These communications are service-related and do not constitute marketing messages.

9. Intellectual Property

uTime's software, brand, logo, design, and other original platform content belong to uTime or its licensors, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants users any right or license over these elements, except to the extent necessary to use the platform as set out here.

Businesses and professionals retain rights to the content and data they submit to uTime (for example, photographs, service descriptions, or business information), granting uTime the license necessary to host, display, and process that content in order to provide the service.

10. Prohibited Use

By using uTime, you agree not to:

  • Use the platform for unlawful purposes
  • Engage in fraud
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data
  • Attempt to compromise, exploit vulnerabilities in, or interfere with the operation of the platform
  • Introduce malware or engage in any malicious activity
  • Make abusive automated requests (for example, large-scale scraping or denial-of-service attacks)
  • Collect other users' data without authorization
  • Engage in conduct that infringes third-party rights

11. Availability

uTime aims to provide a reliable service, but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Service interruptions may occur due to maintenance, updates, technical problems, third-party provider failures, or events outside uTime's reasonable control.

12. Third-Party Services

Certain uTime features depend on services provided by third parties, namely technology infrastructure providers, email delivery providers, and Google Calendar. The availability of these third-party services may affect the corresponding uTime functionality, and uTime is not responsible for unavailability directly resulting from failures of those third-party services.

13. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, uTime will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the platform, nor for the performance, quality, or outcome of services provided by businesses and professionals, who are solely responsible for the services they advertise and provide through uTime.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot validly be excluded or limited under applicable Portuguese or European Union law, including consumer protection law.

14. Suspension and Termination

uTime may suspend or terminate a user's access to the platform in the event of: a material violation of these Terms; fraud; abusive behavior; the existence of security risks to the platform or other users; or where required by law or by order of a competent authority.

Businesses and professionals may likewise stop using uTime at any time, without prejudice to any contractual obligations that remain applicable after termination.

15. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated periodically. In the event of material changes, we will seek to communicate them appropriately, through the platform or another suitable means. The last-updated date is always shown at the top of this page.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law and, where applicable, European Union law. For the resolution of any dispute arising from these Terms, and without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that may apply, the competent Portuguese courts, as determined by law, shall have jurisdiction.
